Last summer found us so amazed by the Big Green Egg’s ability to produce phenomenal food, we quickly started selling them! Our local two Michelin-starred chef, Daniel Clifford (Midsummer House), says: “You only have to look at who’s using the Big Green Egg to realise the quality. Established nearly 40 years ago in the USA, the Big Green Egg is a charcoal based ceramic cooker that offers a wide range of precise cooking modes on a barbecue. It can grill, roast, smoke or bake pizzas in temperatures ranging from 80 - 400C. Once the EGG is lit in less than 12 minutes; it can sustain a constant temperature with one load of charcoal for over 8 hours. Adding wood chips to season food whilst cooking results in complex flavours, whilst a range of cooking surfaces meets the demands of recipes never before contemplated on a barbecue. In essence, the EGG introduces a whole new range of textures & techniques previously never possible on the traditional British barbeque.
